AX Starter Kit

Five skills to design, test and audit products that will be used by AI agents.

Install them in Codex or Claude Code and run a guided process on a real task from your product.

Created by Luis Uribe · Neura.Lab

Turn AX into an applicable process

The kit covers the full journey: defining the task, designing the tools, preparing the tests, resolving the human handoff, and auditing the outcome.

The skills guide the work. Permissions and controls are implemented in the system that executes the actions.

What each skill does

  • 01 · INCLUDED IN THE KIT

    AX Auditor

    Diagnosis and prioritization

Audits a task end to end and detects barriers in discovery, context, permissions, state, recovery and verification.

    When to use it
When you want to know if a website, API or system is ready for an agent to complete a task.
    Deliverable
Findings with evidence, impact, severity, fix and acceptance criteria.

    Example prompt

Use $ax-auditor to audit whether this product lets an agent complete the task of [task]. Distinguish what was tested, inferred and not evaluated.

  • 02 · INCLUDED IN THE KIT

    Agent Task Designer

    Task contract

Turns a human intent into an operational contract with inputs, rules, authority, states, cancellation and a verifiable outcome.

    When to use it
Before building an agent or exposing a new product capability.
    Deliverable
A task contract shareable between product, business and engineering.

    Example prompt

Use $agent-task-designer to turn this intent into a verifiable contract for agents: [describe task].

  • 03 · INCLUDED IN THE KIT

    Agent Tool Designer

    Tools, API and MCP

Reviews names, descriptions, schemas, permissions, errors, pagination, retries, idempotency and results of the tools the agent will use.

    When to use it
When you have an API, function, endpoint or MCP server that needs to be understood and operated by agents.
    Deliverable
A technical brief with issues, a proposed contract and acceptance tests.

    Example prompt

Use $agent-tool-designer to review this API or tool and propose a clear, recoverable, verifiable contract for agents.

  • 04 · INCLUDED IN THE KIT

    AX Test Lab

    Tests and regressions

Designs reproducible scenarios to verify the real outcome, permissions and effects of a delegated task.

    When to use it
Before launching an agent or after changing its tools, model or rules.
    Deliverable
Normal and adversarial cases with state oracles and evidence.

    Example prompt

Use $ax-test-lab to create reproducible tests for [task]. Include permissions, missing data, timeout after saving, retries, revocation, and malicious instructions in external content.

  • BONUS · INCLUDED IN THE KIT

    Human Handoff Designer

    Bonus · Human continuity

Designs how a task is handed off to a person while preserving context, privacy, state and accountability.

    When to use it
When the agent hits a sensitive decision, an insufficient permission, an uncertain outcome, or an error that needs intervention.
    Deliverable
A handoff agreement with triggers, a minimum package, human acceptance and a fallback path.

    Example prompt

Use $human-handoff-designer to design the human handoff for [task]. Define what the person receives, how they accept the case, and what happens if nobody responds.

Install it in two minutes

Install in Codex

Unzip the skill and copy its full folder to the personal skills directory.

mkdir -p ~/.codex/skills
cp -R skill-name ~/.codex/skills/

Copy the whole folder, including assets, references, scripts and agents. Open a new chat if the skill doesn't show up right away.

Example

Use $ax-auditor to audit a task in my product.

Can an agent complete a task inside your product?

Pick a concrete task. Install the kit. Find out what needs to change.
